The suburb of Shenton Park is named after Sir George Shenton who served three terms as Mayor of Perth and originally owned the land that is now the suburb of Shenton Park. Shenton Park is situated within the City of Subiaco and is located only 4km west of Perth Central business district. On the western side of the suburb is Shenton College a public high school established in 2000 which is known for its outstanding academic results.
