Timber shutters that open directly from the bedrooms into the gardens, outdoor water features that seamlessly merge into the inside living spaces, doors that open out onto terraces that frame gardens and pathways to private enclaves of lawn and lush greenery – all merge effortlessly to create a residence that feels like something found in some hidden location, in a secret and magical enclave far far away.

Bricks that were dug up from Byford Brickworks – which had been buried for 50 years and used to line the intense heat of the kilns, create an artistic and wonderfully unique framework of distortion, striking colour and theatre throughout the residence. Beams of Orogen Pine line the ceiling and she-oak and jarrah boards rest underfoot, whilst Swiss tiles line the roof and mingle delightfully within the treetops.

Held and loved by the same family for some 50 years – it was and has always been an architectural work of art and life, merging into a home that reflects the warmth and appreciation of natural and inspired spaces – never to date and always to love.
